Professor Deese participated in the National Science Foundation-sponsered workshop (co-sponsored by National Academic of Engineering) on “Reforming Electric Energy Systems Curriculum with Emphasis on Sustainability.” It was held on April 9 and 10, 2015 in Washington, DC at the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) Building. Previous workshops discussed the possibility of offering 13 web-based instructor-taught graduate courses, leading to a master’s degree in power engineering.
