New Sensor Prototypes for Demand Response Research Completed
With assistance from ECE MUSE participant Julian Daum, I have completed a set of five second-generation prototype sensors for research in demand response. They provide users with the ability to: 1) measure light, sound, and motion in its environment, 2) measure current consumed by an AC load, 3) actuate this load, as well as 4) communicate this information wireless via XBee technology. With five prototypes, we may begin more interesting system-level research. Details to follow.
